We welcomed Sherri to Federico Beauty Institute June 23- 25, 2013 for three days of hands on education that included both Editorial Bridal Styling and Editorial Makeup.
Sherri began the day by helping guide students through setting up their first photo shoots and explaining the process for putting together a team.
Sherri’s advice for finding great models is to look past the hair and at their face. She explained that as hairdressers we are able to manipulate and create the illusion of whatever look is desired, but a great face is essential.
“ I thought everything Sherri Jessee talked about from makeup to building your own brand was really educational as well as amazing. She changed my view when it come to bridal work, makeup and hair! I love her! Student, Savannah R.
Sherri demonstrated using hair pads to help create the height and fullness you desire in upstyling.
“I had a great time. It really motivated me and inspired me to strive to be the best.” student, Julianne N.
During the hands on portion Sherri provided the materials for students to make their own hair pads to use on their mannequins and take home with them.
“Sherri is very personable & inspirational. She ROCKS!” student, Rashana W.
“Very great experience. Covered all aspects including techniques, goal setting, direction, insight in editorial/ bridal updos and the importance of social media.” student, Vannessa T.
During the course of the day, Sherri created 4 different looks and photographer, Nicholas Wray, shot the models to give students an inside look at working on set.
